Respiratory Therapy - Rural

Provide assessment, treatment and education related to lung health.

This service includes:

• monitoring airway health
• providing diagnostic testing ( i.e.spirometry assessments, with Respirologist interpretation; blood gases )
• supporting rural community clients with life support equipment ( e.g., ventilators )
• offers education for patients and their families on asthma, COPD, tobacco reduction
• supporting the Alberta Aids to Daily Living home oxygen assessments
• also support clients in a home living environment, unable to access outpatient services
