Traditional Wellness Coordinator Services

This program provides traditional Indigenous wellness services including cultural and spiritual supports to First Nations (Status and Non-Status), Metis and Inuit peoples and their families. Services may include ceremonies, traditional practices, smudging, and prayer. Ask your healthcare provider, Traditional Wellness Coordinator or spiritual care services for more information.

Service includes:

  • smudges
  • Elder services
  • healing circles and formal ceremonial healing events

Traditional Wellness Counsellors also gather traditional medicines, educate about ceremonial protocol, and are available to healthcare staff for consultation on a diverse range of Indigenous patient issues.
