Southern Alberta Rare Blood and Bleeding Disorders Comprehensive Care Program

Provides care for those with suspected or known bleeding disorders.

The Southern Alberta Rare Blood and Bleeding Disorders Comprehensive Care Program offers expert assessment and management for:

  • Congenital bleeding disorders
  • Acquired bleeding disorders
  • Hemoglobinopathies (e.g., Sickle Cell Disease, Hemoglobin H Disease, Thalassemia Major/Intermedia)
  • Hereditary angioedema (HAE)
  • Transfusion-dependent congenital bone marrow failure syndromes

Our multidisciplinary team delivers comprehensive, patient-centered, and evidence-based care to improve outcomes and enhance quality of life for patients and their families. We also provide education, support, and opportunities to participate in clinical research.
