Tertiary Neuropsychiatry and Specialty Clinics

Provides patients with short-term support to transition back to home, school and community services.

The Tertiary Neuropsychiatry and Specialty Clinics offer tertiary level psychiatric services to children and adolescents with significant treatment resistant mental health problems not able to be managed in the community by a pediatrician and secondary level mental health supports.

To ensure children and youth are being connected with the right provider, the right place, in the right amount of time, a centralized model of intake is used. Incoming referrals are reviewed by an intake team and if appropriate, directed to the most appropriate specialized clinic. Our current clinics include:

  • Treatment Resistant Affective Disorders Clinic
  • Treatment Resistant ADHD Clinic
  • Complex Neuropsychiatry Clinic
  • Treatment Resistant PANS/PANDAS/Autoimmune Encephalitis Clinic.

We provide short-term management only. Once the goal of the referral is met, care will be transferred back to the referring physician for ongoing management.
