Amputee Rehabilitation Clinic

This clinic provides assessment and management for the rehabilitation of patients who have undergone a major limb amputation.

The goal of this service is to assist the patient in achieving the best possible recovery and the highest level of independence and function. This would be done through:

  • addressing proper wound care and limb management.
  • increasing an individual's strength, flexibility, coordination and endurance
  • optimizing prosthetic management
  • coordinate rehabilitation with the community partners (e.g. Community Accessible Rehabilitation)
  • consultation is also offered to people who are thinking about having an elective amputation.

Minimum 18 years or older.
