The Pediatric Rett Clinic consists of a team of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals who provide medical services to persons with Rett Syndrome. Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological and developmental disorder that affects the way the brain develops, causing a progressive loss of motor skills and speech.Persons with Rett syndrome have a complex number of health needs resulting in a progressive loss of motor skills and speech. The patient/family attends one clinic day annually, with sub-specialties scheduled depending on the child's needs. The family / guardian must travel and accompany their child to a full day of Glenrose appointments. NOTE: Adults with genetic confirmation of Rett Syndrome are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
