Mechanical Circulatory Support Program

Provides mechanical circulatory support to patients with cardiac and/or respiratory failure utilizing extracorpeal life support (ECLS) and ventricular assist devices (VAD) technologies.

The Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Program provides treatment to patients with cardiac and/or respiratory failure. The Adult Extracorpeal Life Support (ECLS) is a multidisciplinary program offering advanced cardiac and respiratory life support for patients with heart and lung failure as a bridge to: decision, recovery or transplant.

The Adult Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) program treats patients with advanced heart failure utilizing VAD device for both short term and long term treatment. VADs in this program are used as bridge to: decision, transplant, recovery or destination therapy.
