Vascular Risk Reduction Program

Nurse Practitioner run program to help medically manage risk factors for those with known arterial disease such as history of heart attack or stroke, and/or known carotid artery disease or peripheral arterial disease.

Medical management is offered for the following risk factors:

  • blood sugars
  • blood pressure
  • cholesterol
  • tobacco usage

This program does not offer surgical treatment.

Known arterial disease.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Fax referral: Attention Vascular Risk Reduction Program.

Referral to include medical history, current medications with dosages and recent inpatient discharge summaries applicable to referral.


Wait Times

Urgent will be seen within 4 weeks Semi Urgent will be seen within 8 weeks

An estimated wait time will be provided at the time of appointment booking.
