Chronic Disease Prevention and Harm Reduction

 Location: Alberta Wide

Chronic Disease Prevention and Harm Reduction (CDPHR) works with partners to reduce the prevalence of chronic disease, injury and the harms associated with substance use, physical inactivity and ultraviolet radiation exposure.

CDPHR comprises 4 teams:

  • Harm Reduction Services
  • Physical Activity and Sun Safety
  • Provincial Injury Prevention
  • Tobacco Vaping and Cannabis Program

Staff from these teams work with partners within Alberta Health Services, Recovery Alberta, the Government of Alberta and the community to meet the needs of populations experiencing inequities.
