Pediatric Cardiac Inpatient Unit

The Pediatric cardiology inpatient unit treats children admitted to the Stollery Children's Hospital with complex heart problems.

This program is a referral center for cardiac care for pediatric patients in Alberta and Western Canada. The program offers assessment, diagnosis, treatment (medical and surgical) to children with congenital and acquired heart disease, including heart transplantation.

Pediatric clients are referred to a Pediatric cardiologist for assessment and diagnosis.

The waiting period is dependent upon bed capacity on inpatient unit.
