Awasisak Indigenous Health Program

This program provides ancillary support for Indigenous pediatric patients who receive care at the Stollery Children's Hospital.

Program objectives include:

  • Providing a culturally safe, patient and family centered approach to Indigenous pediatric care at the Stollery Children's Hospital
  • Supporting Indigenous pediatric patients of the Stollery, and their families, in accessing available health services and social supports
  • Developing collaborative approaches with families and hospital and community care providers to meet complex healthcare needs of Indigenous pediatric patients from rural and remote communities
