The Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Consultation Clinic (PRMcc) helps children who have problems with their physical movement and function.Children get checked, diagnosed, and treated by experts, like a pediatric physiatrist (doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating children with conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, muscles etc.), a neurologist (doctor who specializes in conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves), and / or a developmental pediatrician (doctor who tests and treats children who have trouble learning).
The PRMcc sees kids up to18 years of age with complex motor ability issues. Your child's doctor can refer them to PRMcc to see a specialist for testing and advice. Your child will still see their regular doctor for ongoing care. PRMcc does not assess for autism or other learning or behavior issues.
