Injectable Opioid Agonist Therapy Program

Treatment clinic for clients suffering severe Opioid Use Disorder.

Outpatient treatment for individuals that have not been successful on methadone or suboxone. This service provides:

  • clinically supervised setting
  • medically prescribed hydromorphone for direct injection

Service will provide for the primary care needs of each client.

Eligibility

Criteria for eligibility:

  • must be an IV opiate user
  • have tried methadone and or suboxone at least once
  • have or be able to get health insurance such as NIHB, AISH or Alberta Works
Service Access

Must meet with a doctor and social worker to determine if client is an appropriate fit for the service.

 


Wait Times

There is only a wait if a person needs to apply for health benefits coverage.
