Addiction and Mental Health - Young Adult Walk-In Clinic

Addiction and Mental Health - Young Adult Walk-In Clinic is a walk-in, single session-based clinic embedded within a youth and young adult friendly environment. Individuals and their supports are welcomed and seen by a clinic therapist on a first come, first serve basis.

Addiction and Mental Health - Young Adult Walk-In Clinic is not a lead service provider but - depending on individual circumstances. This clinic may see a client for brief follow up following the initial single session.

During the single session, the client will be screened for the presence of substance use and / or mental health issues that may require more intensive interventions. Should the client’s presenting needs be able to be addressed at our service, the client will receive a single solution-focused session. Clients who require more intensive interventions beyond what is offered by this clinic can have their care transitioned to a service designed to meet that client’s care needs.

For social, recreation, and wellness needs, clients are often referred to the Young Adult Services - Social Recreation, & Wellness program (formerly known as Challenge by Choice).
