Cirrhosis Care Clinic

Provides specialty care to adult outpatients with symptoms / features of decompensating chronic liver failure.

Provides accessible outpatient care for patients with advanced cirrhosis. Clinic team members are accessible during scheduled patient appointments. Patients are also encouraged to call to address cirrhosis related health concerns between clinic appointments. Services provided by the clinic team include:

• new patient assessments
• intensive monitoring and treatment adjustments
• coordination of outpatient procedures (such as paracentesis) and investigations
• patient and family education
• consultation regarding disease progression, symptom management, coping, nutrition and exercise
• referral to community services and other health care providers as required
