Pediatric Oncology Neuro-Developmental Follow-Up Clinic

This clinic offers consulting services for the diagnosis, treatment, and support of neuro-developmental issues affecting pediatric cancer survivors.

This service is a consultative clinic that provides diagnoses, treatment, and advocacy of the neuro-developmental related issues affecting pediatric oncology survivors at the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH). The clinic works in close communication with the Pediatric Oncology Survivor clinic to ensure that patients’ neuro-developmental needs are fully supported in the context of short and long-term oncology related follow-up needs. Patients must have a community pediatrician in place who is actively involved in the patient’s care. The purpose of the POND clinic is not to assume primary care but to provide a consultative service.
