Cardiomyopathy Clinic

A creative and comprehensive care model for patients and family members with cardiomyopathies at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute.

This service is intended for patients/clients with the any of the following characteristics:

  • Patients with recognized cardiomyopathies
  • Pediatric patients with cardiomyopathies who have graduated from the Stollery Children's Hospital
  • Screening family members of probands with cardiomyopathies (cascade screening)
  • Screening family members of children and young adults that died suddenly with autopsy evidence of cardiomyopathies
  • Infiltrative Cardiomyopathies (Fabry disease, iron-overload, cardiac sarcoidosis and cardiac amyloidosis)
