Support Services - Recreation

Provides an environment where people with severe and persistent mental illnesses can interact socially and find mutual support.

Service offers:

• an environment where people with severe and persistent mental illnesses can interact socially and find mutual support

Includes:

• Transitional Employment Program - opportunities for members to reintegrate back into the workforce, and supports for the independent employee
• Social Support Programs - socialization and recreational activities including community meals, ethnic days, board games, crafts, day outings, and socialization groups
• The Other Side Café - a consumer initiative that works to increase the individual's overall well - being by providing volunteer and employment opportunities so the individual served can improve their job skills

This service is provided by Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health Services contracted service providers.
