Support Services - Outpatient / Outreach: Counselling
Offers information, education, support services and referral services on all topics related to suicide.Service offers:
- information and education on topics related to suicide
Includes:
- age - appropriate educational programs for children, youth, and adults
- Living Beyond Suicide Loss, a support group for anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide
- short - term counselling services and grief support
- information, referrals, and online resources to those in need, including general, community, and downloadable resources related to suicide awareness and prevention
- customized suicide awareness presentations geared toward professionals, adult groups, employment training, and community agencies
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), a workshop for individuals who may work with individuals at risk of suicide, including mental health workers, students, teachers, and anyone wishing to learn more about suicide prevention
This service is provided by Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health Services contracted service providers.
