Support Services - Wellness

Provides various educational and training programs related to recovery and resilience including courses, support groups, and workshops.

Service offers:

  • education sessions, programs, courses, support groups, pamphlets, and website information on mental health and mental wellness at various community locations

Topics include:

  • Relationships and Communication
  • Mental Health Services and Treatment
  • Workplace Mental Health
  • Mental Health Recovery and Wellness

Programs include:

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) programs - includes ASIST 2 day certification training, ASIST half day re - certification, Tattered Teddies, Safe Talk, and Straight Talk
  • Art of Friendship - an 8 week course for individuals interested in developing social skills
  • CMHA Support Groups - includes Caregiver Connections, Friendship Circle, and more
  • CMHA Mental Health and Wellness courses - provides an in - depth way to learn new skills and strategies to meet specific needs
  • facilitator training
  • presentations offered at various community locations on a wide variety of topics

This service is provided by Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health Services contracted service providers.
