Collaborative Immunology Program

The Collaborative Immunology Program (CIP) is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary care model that includes, Collaborative Immunohematology Clinic (a specialty out-patient clinic for patients with complex immune disorders) and Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (SCIg) Home Infusion Program (patient-training and case-management for at-home SCIg treatment)

The Collaborative Immunology Program (CIP) utilizes a comprehensive, multidisciplinary care model designed to improve access to care, clinical outcomes, and quality of life for patients with complex immune disorders or other conditions requiring immunoglobulin (Ig) replacement therapy.

The CIP oversees the:

  • Collaborative Immunohematology Clinic (CIC)—an Immuno-Hematology out-patient clinic providing expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult patients with complex immune disorders or dysregulation.
  • Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin (SCIg) Home Infusion Program—a patient training and support program for patients performing independent, at-home Ig replacement therapy (i.e.: SCIg).

The framework for the CIP includes:

  • Timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment by Immuno-Hematology specialty
  • Multidisciplinary care-planning from medical, nursing, pharmacy, and social work providers.
  • Appropriate utilization of Ig replacement therapy, if indicated.

Patient and family-centered approach to care and education.
