Sleep Disorders Program

The Sleep Medicine Program at the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioural Sleep Medicine Program offer consultations, sleep studies if indicated and follow-up for patients suspected of a primary sleep disorder.

Such disorders include:

  • Narcolepsy and other daytime sleepiness disorders
  • Parasomnias
  • Restless legs syndrome/periodic limb movement
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea (without suspected pulmonary or cardiac comorbidities)
  • Shift work sleep disorder
  • Disorders of timing of the sleep-wake cycle and
  • Insomnia disorder (the only treatment offered is through our Behavioural Sleep Service with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi))

Eligibility

Individuals 18 years and older can be referred for this service.
