Patient and Provider Experience Office

The Patient and Provider Experience Office (PPEO), is a Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation funded program that serves to enhance workplace culture, experience, and joy for all RAH staff, physicians, midwives, volunteers, patients and their families. In providing care and treatment for patients and their families, workers contribute to a raised enthusiasm, awareness and commitment to give back to the hospital.

The Royal Alexandra Hospital Patient & Provider Experience Office provides resources and support to shine a light on the importance of empathy, understanding, and communication in healthcare and to improving the experience for our providers, both staff, and physicians.
Our strategic goals are:

• enhance worker experience, wellness and joy
• improve people / worker safety culture
• enhance communication culture
• improve patient experience and hospital consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems (HCAHPS) measures
• give back and support our hospital
