Cardio Oncology

Cardio-oncology is a subspecialty of cardiology focused on the cardiovascular health of cancer patients, both during and after cancer treatment.

The Cardio-Oncology clinic is a consultative services for adult patients who are currently under the care of an oncologist or hematologist who have developed cardiac issues as a result of cancer treatment. The MAZ Cardio-Oncology clinic works with patients and their cancer care team to address the following:

a) consultation for cardiac clearance before cancer treatment begins if known cardiac issues

b) diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions related to cancer or its treatment
