Outpatient Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Clinic

This clinic provides psychiatric consultation services to multidisciplinary medical clinics within Alberta Health Services in the Calgary Zone.

This clinic provides psychiatric consultation and assessment services through Access Mental Health referrals. This is a physician only clinic and it provides single, one-time assessments / treatments of psychiatric conditions. The psychiatrist does not follow outpatients. The referring clinic / physician must remain involved in the patients’ care. If further assessments are required, another referral through Access Mental Health is required.

Contact / referral information for the clinic is provided by Access Mental Health to community clinics.
This clinic does not accept referrals from Hospital Emergency Rooms, Urgent Care Clinics, or Inpatient Hospital Units.
The referring clinic must continue to follow the referred patient as the psychiatrist does not follow outpatients. The psychiatrist provides one-time assessments. If further assessments are required, another referral through Access Mental Health is required.
This clinic does not have any multidisciplinary supports such as social work, nursing or therapists.
