This is a complementary service only, focusing on stabilization and returning to the lead care provider.The clinical focus is on patients with complex concurrent disorders requiring enhanced assessment, consultation, and treatment from an addiction psychiatrist. The clinical focus ranges from moderate to severe mental health presentation complicated by a significant addiction where existing providers require additional support from an addiction psychiatry specialist. Consultation and short-term intervention timeline is typically from 3 to 6 months, with regular liaising with current existing treatment team.

This program admits patients by physician referral and will accept referrals from other professionals if the patient is connected to a primary care provider or AMH lead provider who is willing to take over care once the patient is stabilized.
Admissions are by appointment only following received and accepted referral.
