Location: Edmonton 106th Street Clinic
This is a complementary service in support of clients with complex concurrent disorders. The Addiction Psychiatry program helps to support clients through enhanced assessment, consultation, and treatment from an addiction psychiatrist. This program addresses moderate to severe mental health presentations complicated by a significant addiction where existing providers require additional support from a specialist. This program is accessed through physician / health professional referral and requires a primary care provider who is willing to take over care once patient is stabilized. Consultation and short-term intervention timeline is typically from 3 to 6 months, with regular liaising with current existing treatment team. Psychosocial team supports are available through our Addiction Counsellor, Mental Health Therapists, Social Workers and Peer Support Workers.
