Community Adult Addiction Services

Community addiction services are available to adults concerned about their own or their family member's substance use or gambling.

The focus of intervention is short term recovery. Addictions counsellors help clients generate achievable goals for stabilization and change.
Services are available for adults and older adults concerned about substance use or gambling and can be concurrent with other mental health concerns (of mild to moderate level).
Addiction services (for clients with alcohol, or other drug, or gambling concerns) may include:

  • assessment
  • treatment
  • referrals to treatment centres and other supports
  • short-term outpatient treatment services (includes individual, family and/or group counselling).

Parking is provided outside the main entrance to facility. ODP entrance is the doors to the left of the building next to the yellow drop bin.

Note

Walk-in / drop-in clinic is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
Note: Closed for lunch 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. Closed on statutory holidays.

Eligibility

Clients that have moderate to severe mental illness that also need treatment should be referred to mental health or psychiatry.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Access Addiction and Mental Health Line is available for clients to call directly to self refer. Clients can access service by appointment or walk-in / drop-in services are available.
