Intensive Community Treatment Services

Intensive Community Treatment Services is a step-up intensive community-based treatment program for children and youth experiencing or are at risk of a mental health crisis or hospitalization and their family. This service aims to prevent a hospital admission.

Intensive Community Treatment Services (ICTS) is designed to provide appointment based intensive individual, family, and group therapies for 1-4 hours daily for a period 4-6 weeks and does not have a school-based component. An individualized treatment plan will be developed based on the unique needs and goals that may include assessment, treatment and medication management as needed.

Eligibility

Service targeted to:

  • youth under 18 with moderate to severe mental health concerns impairing functioning
Referral Needed

Internal referrals can be made by any (CAAMHPP) community-based services by completing the most current CAAMHPP key (in Connect Care or paper version).

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

This service is by appointment only, registration required.
