Post Partum Preeclampsia

Patients who are postpartum and have experienced preeclampsia, eclampsia or HELLP syndrome at less than 34 weeks gestation.

Virtual clinic for patients who are postpartum and have experienced preeclampsia, eclampsia or HELLP syndrome, +/- IUGR (Intrauterine growth restriction) at <34 weeks gestation.

Patient must be 3 months post partum or later to be seen.

Preeclampsia is an independent risk factor for womens long-term development of cardiac and vascular diseases, preterm preeclampsia further increases that risk.
This clinic serves to educate and manage the vascular risk factors for women in their first years of postpartum life before transitioning back to their family physician. Additionally, we counsel on preeclampsia preventative strategies (if applicable) towards future pregnancies.
