Advanced Vascular Access Service

A specialty service that assesses and inserts Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters to provide access for intravenous therapies including (but not limited to) hydration, antimicrobials, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition.

Provides services to people with long-term intravenous (IV) therapy such as:

  • assessment and insertion of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC)
  • consultation
  • education
  • problem solving and resource for healthcare providers related to Central Venous Access Catheters follow-up care and maintenance
