Child and Youth Multidisciplinary Intensive Treatment Service

Community-based support team focused on providing support for children and youth ages 5 to 18 who are experiencing complex mental illness and substance use disorders.

Provides support to children/youth and their families within the community, and some surroundings areas in the North zone, as well as supporting children and youth admitted to hospital to help in their discharge and transition to home.

The team will focus on managing the child/youth’s addiction and/or complex mental health needs with a goal of reducing the potential for relapse or readmission to hospital through:

  • individual/group therapy and counsellings
  • case management/navigation
  • developmental supports
  • physical and recreational therapy
  • In home skill development and parent support
