The Alberta Aids to Daily Living (AADL) Program provides funding for basic medical equipment and supplies for people with chronic health problems or life-ending illness who qualify under the program.
This Government of Alberta funded program provides assessment for benefits like back supports, catheter supplies, incontinence supplies, and mastectomy supplies (for people younger than 65) is provided by AADL authorized assessors and AADL approved vendors.
- home visit is needed for bathing and bathroom equipment, walkers, walking aids, wheelchairs (manual and power) and wheelchair cushions and accessories
- prescription from a doctor is needed for compression garments
- no coverage for continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) units.
