Sexually Transmitted Infection Clinic

Provides testing, treatment, and counselling for STIs (sexually transmitted infections), including HIV/AIDS.

Service include:

  • diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections
  • hepatitis A and B vaccine program
  • private HIV testing
  • counselling and client education
  • notifying past sexual partners about their risk of infection
  • referrals to other services
  • needle exchange
  • take home Naloxone training and kits

Service Access

No appointment is necessary.

Appointments are offered Monday to Wednesdays 0915-1500, Thursdays 1030-1500 and Fridays 0830-1400. Appointments can be booked through STI main reception for the following:

  • All confirmed positive GC, CT and Infectious Syphilis
  • Test of Cures (when required only)
  • 2nd and 3rd Bicillin treatments
  • Repeat serology for indeterminate results (HIV, HCV or STS)
  • Repeat testing for clients with Cancel Test Summaries

Wait Times

Waiting periods exist for referals to STI doctors

Wait times vary depending on volume of walk in clients and may be greater than 2 hours at peak times.
