Sexual and Reproductive Health - Clinical Services

All of Urban Calgary's Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics will be resuming regular hours effective August 31st. Okotoks Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic is temporarily offering limited appointments

We continue to have limited services in response to COVID-19. We cannot accommodate drop-in patients at this time. We can support phone consultations for URGENT concerns. We can see patients for urgent concerns AFTER a phone consult and screening.

Urgent concerns include:

  • KNOWN sexually transmitted infection (STI) and in need of treatment
  • contact to a known STI and need testing / treatment
  • symptoms of an STI
  • STI testing following new exposure
  • care following a recent sexual assault
  • birth control supply pick up with a prescription on file
  • birth Control initiation including IUD & contraceptive implant (nexplanon) insertions
  • HIV PrEP initiation and follow-up appointments

Note

East Calgary Health Centre Sexual Health clinic is temporarily relocating to Sunridge Professional Centre until September, 2021. There will be no in-person appointments at this location until September. Phone lines will be forwarded so you can book a phone consultation or in-person appointment at our Sunridge Professional Centre location.

Eligibility

We are a youth-friendly clinic and will see people that fit into one or more of the following categories:

  • are 29 years old or younger
  • have no Alberta Health Care
  • can't afford birth control
  • need a translator
  • need special services (HIV PrEP, pregnancy options support, emergency contraception, diaphragm fittings)
  • have a need for our services that they can't meet elsewhere

Eligibility for Okotoks Health and Wellness clinic: All teens and young adults and any person with barriers to service (e.g., no Alberta Health Care, low income, or English is not first language).

Patients may self-refer.

Not all services are available at all locations. Check with each clinic to check what services they offer. Some services may be by drop-in or by appointment.
