Sexual and Reproductive Health - Education

Provides free, comprehensive and inclusive sexual health education, resource materials, community project support and telephone / email consultations.

Group education is available to community groups, community service providers, early childhood professionals, students, school staff, parents and health care workers. Topics are flexible to meet group need and can include:

  • contraception
  • healthy relationships, boundaries and consent
  • how to talk about sexuality with children and youth
  • how to teach about sexuality
  • hygiene and self-care
  • media, gender roles & stereotypes
  • reproduction, pregnancy and pregnancy options
  • puberty and sexual development
  • reproductive health
  • safer sex and STI
  • sexual decision making
  • sexual health service access
  • sexual orientation and gender identity and expression

Consultation, information, policy and procedure support and resources are available to professionals; Specialists can give information on:

  • sexual and reproductive health
  • sexuality education
  • community based projects and research
  • best practice updates
  • trends in sexual health
  • inclusive practice

This service is free, however travel fees may apply outside of Calgary zone of Alberta Health Services.
