Calgary COPD & Asthma Program

This program provides respiratory education for patients who have asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease (chronic bronchitis, emphysema), chronic cough or smokers at risk.

Provides comprehensive respiratory education for patients with COPD, asthma, chronic cough or smokers at risk. The session is one to one either by phone or Zoom and will take 45 minutes to 60 minutes to complete with a Certified Respiratory Educator. Spirometry is no longer provided.

Eligibility

Age 16 and older.

Service Access

Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.

Please attach a current Pulmonary Function Test with the referral or arrange for your patient to have testing done at any private pulmonary function labs in the Calgary Zone. A list of private labs are found on our website
