Pediatric Amputee Clinic

Provides diagnosis and treatment to children with amputations, limb deficiencies, or musculoskeletal syndromes needing amputation or prosthetic devices.

Provides care to children with amputations, limb deficiencies, or musculoskeletal syndromes needing amputation or prosthetic devices and their families. Care includes diagnosis, assessment, treatment, teaching and follow-up.

For information on juvenile amputations, go to Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinic's website. Multidisciplinary clinics take place once every two months, at the Alberta Children's Hospital.

Note

A physiatrist, physical therapist and occupational therapist are available during regular business hours. The multidisciplinary pediatric amputee clinic runs approximately every other month.
