Cardiovascular Surgery

This service provides cardiovascular surgical care to adults undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), heart valve procedures, aortic procedures, and ventricular assist device procedures.

Service includes:

  • Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (Unit 94 CVICU): care right after heart surgery, ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation)
  • Cardiovascular Surgery Inpatient Unit (Unit 91): stepdown area, dysrhythmia, defibrillation, chest tube removal, inotrope administration, temporary pacemakers
