Healthy Moms Healthy Babies Program

Support for pregnant and parenting women and teens (infants 0-6 months) facing a variety of health and social circumstances that affect maternal and infant health. Eligibility criteria must be met.

Due to Covid 19, our service is currently suspended. This program will start up again in January, 2023.


Healthy Moms Healthy Babies supports pregnant and parenting women and teens (infants 0-6months) who face challenges with isolation, finances, physical or emotional health, healthy nutrition, family conflict and / or addictions. Offers these services:

  • group support with nutrtition and prenatal health education
  • one to one visits with a nurse, dietitian, and / or outreach worker
  • referrals to healthcare providers or community agencies as needed
  • free child birth education classes with AHS

Eligibility

Pregnant women and teens or with infants 0 - 6 months of age.

Appropriate client referrals include clients with low income, poor nutrition, teen pregnancy, social isolation, recent arrival to Canada, substance use and/ or family violence.
