Location: Chinook Regional Hospital
Provides psychosocial service, support, and resource information for people in hospital, outpatient programs, and some community care and supported living facilities.Provides support and resources to promote physical and mental well-being, while also addressing social needs. Helps clients who run into problems because of illness, disability, and / or hospitalization, which may interfere with their being able to get the most benefit from their medical treatment. Community social workers are available through Home Care to address social needs for anyone registered on home care and living in their own home.

Patients who are admitted to Hospital, Home Care, Health Living, and Home Rehabilitation Team.
Clients are primarily registered as inpatients in an AHS facility or program, but walk-ins are accepted as staff are available. Walk-in clients do not necessarily require previous AHS involvement.
There is usually a 24 to 48 hour wait for people in the hospital. Community services may have to wait up to 2 weeks depending on the community and services needed.
