Critical Care Services

Provides care for people who have a critical illness or injury.

Provides life support to criticallly ill adult patients with serious life threatening conditions from a variety of causes which may include:

  • heart attack
  • kidney, liver or heart failure
  • major surgery
  • severe trauma
  • serious infections (bacterial or viral)

Specialized equipment is used to monitor patients and provie life support. This may include:

  • helping the patient breathe (ventilator)
  • continuous monitoring of the heart, lungs, and other vital organs
  • cleaning a person's blood with dialysis
