Stress Testing

Provides testing to check how well a client¿s heart works under increased physical stress.

Clients are attached to a heart monitor while they walk on a treadmill and monitored. This test can help detect early symptoms of some forms of heart disease such as angina.

If clients are unable to walk because of leg problems, they are given a drug to stress their heart. A different drug, and a scan taken after the exercise, can be used to see if all parts of the heart get equal amounts of blood when it's stressed.
