Pediatric Feeding / Swallowing Service

The Pediatric Feeding Swallowing Service offers help to children who have feeding or swallowing problems to be able to drink safely.

The service offers help to children to:

  • be able to eat and drink safely,
  • get the nutrition and fluids they need, and
  • have a good eating experience with their family/caregivers.

Designated surface and underground parking stalls

Getting There
  • Disabled and public parking are available on designated surface lots and in the underground parkade.
  • Public transportation available with bus stops along 111 Avenue in front of the Main Entrance of the GRH.
  • Pay-by-Plate parking is available.

Eligibility

Children under 18 years of age with complex feeding/swallowing problems due to underlying neurological, developmental or musculoskeletal conditions, congenital anomalies, injury/trauma (e.g. spinal, facial, neck, structural anomalies or unknown cause). 

 

Children on tube feedings who do NOT meet the criteria for the Pediatric Home Nutrition Support Program.
