Provides assessment, intervention, education and follow-up for children who require surgical or medical (non-surgical) management of conditions of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, muscles, tendons).Reasons for referral include: general orthopedic care (fractures and acute infections or injuries) leg-length discrepancies (either congenital or acquired) hip instability (congenital dislocated hip (CHD) Legge-Perthes disease); tumors of the bones or muscles scoliosis and other spinal disorders foot deformities (club feet, flat feet) musculoskeletal problems associated with Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy or other neuromuscular diseases.
