Postpartum

Care is provided for women after vaginal or cesarean delivery or during pregnancy if hospitalization is required.

Provides:

• assessment of breasts, uterus and bleeding
• assessment and treatment of pain following delivery
• monitoring for and prevention of postpartum complications
• teaching for mom and family
• breastfeeding information
• monitoring of mom and baby
• Lactation Consultant services
• assessment of vital signs and fetal well being if hospitalized during pregnancy
