Newborn Care

Cares for healthy newborn babies.

Provides care to newborn babies, which includes:

  • feedings
  • checking how much urine and stool your baby passes
  • body temperature checks
  • blood sugar checks
  • newborn metabolic screening
  • hearing screening
  • teaching parents about care of baby including bathing, feeding, diapering, signs of illness, etc.
  • monitoring and screening for signs of illness including jaundice, low blood sugar, and breathing problems
