Rehabilitation Services

Occupational Therapy (OT) provides outpatient orthopedic services for people needing rehabilitation services to maintain or improve their function following Upper extremity injuries or surgeries.

Provides inpatient physiotherapy (PT) and occupational therapy (OT) and outpatient orthopedic splinting / hand therapy services (OT) for clients specific to orthopedic surgeries.

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) is involved in speech therapy (inpatient and outpatient) or interdisciplinary SLP / OT management of swallowing disorders through bedside and instrumental assessment, including Videoflourscopic swallowing studies.

Therapists provide assessment and treatment, as well as working as part of an interdisciplinary team towards prevention and education strategies and discharge planning.

Eligibility

Primary clients are adults with upper extremity injuries or those who have recently had upper extremity surgeries.

Referral Needed

Referrals for outpatient orthopedic splinting or hand therpay are only accepted from site-specific upper extremity orthopedic surgeons
