Pulmonary Medicine Inpatient Unit

Provides care to adults with lung disease and to those who need long-term ventilator support. Also cares for patients who are having/have had a lung transplant.

Provides inpatient medical and nursing care to adult patients with lung diseases and disorders including:

  • pneumonia
  • asthma
  • COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
  • cystic fibrosis
  • lung cancer

Referral Needed

Doctor to refer to the pulmonary doctor on service at the time of the referral. Unit 5E3 and Admitting will know who is on service. A referral letter must come with the patient.
