Location: Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital
START Psychiatry Day Hospital is a group therapy program for older adults with complex mental health issues.The program includes: Talking groups to learn coping skills to better manage depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss Mental health assessment by a psychiatrist Prescription and trial of mental health medications (where appropriate) Clients will be seen in the Assessment Clinic to determine eligibility for the program. Eligible clients will attend the program twice a week for up to 16 weeks.

Hours of Operation:
Clients must be older adults (65+ years of age) with complex psychiatric and psychosocial needs.
Healthcare providers should consult the Alberta Referral Directory for service referral information.
Assessment Clinic: 2 - 4 weeks after referral has been received.
Day Hospital: 1 - 3 months after the Assessment Clinic appointment has been completed.
Assessment Clinic: No Fee
Day Hospital: $25 / day
Clients on Alberta Seniors Benefit (ASB) automatically receive a full fee waiver. Others with low income may apply for a fee reduction.
