Injury Prevention Program

 Location: Plaza 124 Building

Works with community-based agencies to address common home-based and traffic-related injuries using a health equity lens.

Topics this team addresses include:

  • infant and Toddler safety such as safe sleep, fall prevention, water safety, fire and burn prevention, poison prevention and choking prevention
  • risky behaviour in youth and young adults including suicide prevention
  • traffic-related injuries including distracted driving, pedestrian safety and bike safety
  • older adult safety including falls prevention and aging and driving
